Flat refurbishment to listed Building in Brighton

Delicate negotiations with the Conservation officer enabled the kitchen to be relocated within the lounge from the front to the rear thus opening up the three magnificent windows over looking the sea and the West Pier in Brighton & Hove, Sussex. Grade II listing meant that architectural details were retained at all times and indeed the skirting in the lounge was researched and reinstated exactly as original. This flat refurbishment benefits from a clever mezzanine level above the bathroom. As no gas was present in the building heating is provided by electric trench heaters set into in the burnt oak floating floor.
