Highly Trained
Jim is highly trained with a Diploma in design from Nottingham Trent University and an Honours degree in engineering from Bristol University. This is coupled with a wide range of experience in the construction and design industries over the last 20 years and a long list of successful projects since the company was incorporated in 2003. Jim is not only technically and aesthetically very competent, but also has a life long love of working with his hands, so everything is detailed with the knowledge and care of a craftsman.

By nature, Jim has a sustainable approach to everything and brings this conviction and knowledge to every project to reduce the effect buildings have on the environment. A fundamental understanding of how buildings work and attention to every detail throughout the design and construction process means buildings designed by Jim Miller Design perform far better than in the wider UK industry, resulting in lower utility bills and more comfortable living environments.
